Kentucky 988's mission is to be there to provide a listening and understanding voice. In fact, 98.7% of 988 contacts were resolved via phone, chat, or text in the past year. However, when that isn't enough, specialists work to connect individuals with mobile or first responders - but only when needed.

In the past year, of all 988 contacts resulted in an involuntary rescue due an inability to collaborate on a less invasive intervention to secure the person's immediate safety.
